From a young age, I’ve always been fascinated by technology. I used to take apart gadgets—not to break them but to understand how they worked. This natural curiosity eventually led me into the field of IT. My career began with technical support roles, where I developed a strong foundation in system administration. But as my career progressed, I realised that my strengths lay not only in solving problems but in leading teams and projects to prevent them in the first place.
Over the last 15 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across various sectors, including education, non-profits, and IT managed services. As an IT Operations Manager in education, I led a transformative project to modernise legacy systems, making them more accessible for both students and staff. This was an eye-opening experience that taught me how critical scalable, dependable IT infrastructure is, especially in dynamic environments.
As the Head of IT for a managed service provider, I was responsible for leading digital transformation projects for several clients. My focus was on creating strategies that ensured businesses weren’t just keeping up with technology but leading the charge. Whether upgrading cybersecurity, streamlining communication systems, or implementing cloud solutions, my goal has always been to make technology a seamless part of day-to-day operations.
Working as IT Manager for a UK-wide non-profit was perhaps one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I was able to implement solutions that not only improved the organisation’s efficiency but also reduced operational costs, allowing them to better serve their beneficiaries. From improving secure remote access for staff across multiple locations to rolling out collaborative tools, I made sure that technology was an enabler for positive change.
I’m always staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the IT world. Technology is evolving rapidly, and I believe that staying on the cutting edge is essential. I’ve made it my mission to ensure that the solutions I deliver are forward-thinking yet practical, always designed with the end-user in mind. After all, technology should simplify, not complicate.
Having recently made the decision to relocate to Hong Kong, I’m excited about the new challenges and opportunities that await. With my experience in the UK across multiple industries, I’m ready to bring a fresh perspective to businesses looking to enhance their IT operations. Whether through consulting, project management, or hands-on technical work, I’m passionate about helping organisations leverage technology to drive growth and innovation.
When I’m not working, I’m still immersed in tech—whether it’s experimenting with new software, reading up on the latest trends, or mentoring the next generation of IT professionals. I truly believe that continuous learning is key in a field as fast-paced as IT, and I’m always eager to share what I’ve learned with others.
As I look forward to the next phase of my career, my focus remains the same: delivering IT solutions that align with business goals, drive operational success, and make technology work for people, not the other way around. I’m excited to partner with organisations that are ready to embrace the future, and I’m confident that together, we can build something great.
